Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Richard Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Artur Mackenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Richard Head has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Richard Head seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Head throws a body shot but no joy.
Head blocks a jab.
Head lunges at Mackenzie with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Mackenzie's hand.
Mackenzie shoots in for a takedown but Head shows good takedown defense.
Head moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Mackenzie throws a jab when Head was well out of range.
Head throws an overhand right that lands on Mackenzie's shoulder, as Mackenzie tries to avoid the shot.
Mackenzie looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Head has been working on his boxing with his coaches at LOD: Ground Zero in the buildup to the fight.
Head connects with a nice looking jab.
Head cracks Mackenzie with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Mackenzie ducks right into an uppercut from Head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Head lands with a good body shot.
Head lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Head bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Mackenzie's head.
Mackenzie avoids the body shot from Head.
And Mackenzie tries to counter it with a takedown but Head pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Head throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Head moves out of range as Mackenzie strikes.
Head throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mackenzie sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Mackenzie with the counter takedown but Head avoids it easily.
Head tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mackenzie was well out of range. Poor timing from Head.
Mackenzie fails with a takedown attempt.
Richard Head has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Artur Mackenzie.

Head connects with a looping right hand.
Head lands with a good body shot.

Mackenzie tries to pull guard but Head forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Mackenzie is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Head to keep the fight standing.
Head dips a shoulder and cracks Mackenzie with a mighty uppercut! Mackenzie falls back against the cage and Head unloads with a barrage of strikes! Mackenzie is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Head screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

After winning the bout, Richard Head thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
