Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slade Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Slade Wilson!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown throws a sloppy head kick and Wilson moves out of range easily.
Wilson steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Brown.
Left hook, right uppercut from Brown.
Brown defending well as Wilson loads up on a big left hand.

Brown has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Wilson.

Brown throws a lazy right hand but Wilson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Brown fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Wilson.
Brown goes for a double leg but Wilson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wilson continues to drive forward.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Wilson counters with a nice body kick.

Brown bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Wilson is trying to control Brown's posture but Brown avoids it.

Brown has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dave Brown will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Brown tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wilson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Brown somewhat.
Brown rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wilson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Brown finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brown shoots for a double leg takedown but Wilson sprawls well. He's pushed Brown's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dave Brown.
I think Brown has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
