The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owen misses with a takedown
and Bgfb counters with a shoot takedown. Owen fights it but they end up in guard.
Owen looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Bgfb stands and throws Owen's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Bgfb has hold of Owen's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Owen tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Bgfb cranks the arm and Owen screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Owen, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
