Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hugo Chavez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Malcolm Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Reynolds's choice of entrance music: Ballad Of Serenity. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Malcolm Reynolds!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chavez pushes Reynolds up against the cage in a clinch.
Chavez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Chavez.
A short uppercut from Chavez.
Reynolds stalling in the clinch but Chavez improves position.
Reynolds has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Chavez avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Chavez is trying to break free.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Chavez.
Reynolds is trying to stall.
Reynolds has Chavez pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Reynolds pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Chavez tumbling to the mat - Reynolds dives into Chavez's guard.
Chavez tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Reynolds postures up in Chavez's guard and throws a big left but Chavez blocks it.
Reynolds wants to control from the top but Chavez keeps moving.

Reynolds stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chavez swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Reynolds is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Chavez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Reynolds won't allow Chavez to sweep him here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Reynolds is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Reynolds has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Chavez regains guard immediately.

Reynolds cracks Chavez with an elbow. That is naaassty.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chavez is working to avoid the ground and pound but Reynolds connects with a decent elbow.

Chavez is trying to control Reynolds's posture but Reynolds avoids it.
Chavez tries to get back to half guard but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Hugo Chavez will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Reynolds cracks Chavez with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Reynolds instigates a clinch.
Reynolds lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Reynolds tries to throw a body punch but Chavez avoids it by throwing Reynolds back against the cage.
Reynolds misses with some punches.
A nice left hand lands by Chavez.
Reynolds lands a nice uppercut.
Reynolds misses with a punch on the inside.
Chavez lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Reynolds pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Chavez takes a swing at Reynolds's ribcage but misses.
Reynolds's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Chavez connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Reynolds scrambles back to his feet.
It looks like Malcolm Reynolds has been cut.
Chavez rushes Reynolds and presses him up against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Reynolds tries to throw a body punch but Chavez avoids it by throwing Reynolds back against the cage.

Reynolds is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Chavez sends Reynolds crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Chavez is motioning to the referee to let Reynolds up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Reynolds is rocked!
Chavez steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Reynolds is out on his feet! Chavez sets himself and nearly takes Reynolds's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
