Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brock Venholt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Clegane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Josh Clegane! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Venholt scores with the left hand. Clegane knows he should have avoided that one. No luck with that takedown attempt from Clegane. Clegane takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Clegane closes the distance and pushes Venholt back into the cage. Clegane has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Venholt after a bit of a struggle. Venholt misses with a hook from the clinch. Clegane can't get the takedown.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Clegane looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Venholt! Clegane fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Venholt is not content to let Clegane control the position. Venholt tries to bench press Clegane off him but Clegane keeps the position.

Clegane throws a strike aimed at the side of Venholt's head but Venholt avoids it well. Clegane with the ground and pound but Venholt regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Clegane looks to score some points with some ground and pound. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Venholt tries to roll over but Clegane keeps him under control. Clegane is pressing down on Venholt's thigh, looking to free his foot. Venholt is holding on for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. A momentary lapse in concentration from Venholt enables Clegane to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Venholt manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Clegane sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Venholt's guard. Venholt wants to stand back up but Clegane manages to pass into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Clegane stalling away here and it's allowed Venholt to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Clegane wants to pass the guard but Venholt is keeping the position. Josh Clegane has got the better of the ground game so far. Venholt not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Venholt tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Clegane avoids it. Clegane changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Venholt fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Clegane has his takedown stuffed and Venholt counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Clegane takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. A shot to the liver by Venholt. Beautiful body shot. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Venholt!
Clegane with a lazy takedown attempt and Venholt connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Venholt shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Clegane eats them both and turns towards Venholt to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
