Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Renzo Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Niko Sirki� (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machida comes to the cage accompanied by No more Shadows for the Past- NARNIA. Sirki� has chosen Thergothon - Elemental as his entrance music. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
44 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Renzo Machida! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
33 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Niko Sirki�! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and Steven Brown.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sirki� drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Sirki� has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Sirki� uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Machida. Machida misses with an uppercut. Sirki� saw that one coming. Sirki� with the counter takedown but Machida avoids it easily. A jab from Machida misses. A combination from Machida does no damage. Sirki� is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Machida misses with an uppercut. Sirki� saw that one coming. Machida scores with a nice strike. Machida throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sirki� on the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Machida throws a lazy right hand but Sirki� sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Machida misses with a wild combination.
Sirki� drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Machida defends it well.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Machida looks to land a right hand but Sirki� moved out of range. Donk. Machida catches Sirki� right on the button with a cross. The fighters circling - Machida throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Machida looks to throw the jab but Sirki� is out of range. Sirki� with the counter takedown but Machida avoids it easily. No joy there for Machida, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Machida clobbers Sirki� with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Renzo Machida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A left lands for Machida. Machida misses with an uppercut. Sirki� tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Sirki� moves out of range of the strikes. Sirki� is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Machida is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Sirki� ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Machida throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sirki� sees it coming and avoids it easily. Sirki� ducks under a wild hook from Machida. Sirki� changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Machida looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Nice jab there from Machida. Machida listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Machida is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. This has been an exciting period of action! Machida misses with a two punch combination.
Sirki� tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Machida throws a hook but Sirki� avoids it easily. Sirki� changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Machida tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Machida misses with a hook. Sirki� feints the counter takedown. Renzo Machida is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Machida scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Machida keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
A slow jab from Machida misses its intended target. Machida misses with a straight right. Sirki� with the counter takedown but Machida avoids it easily. Machida connects with a crisp jab. Sirki� bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Machida drops Sirki� with a beautiful combination! Sirki� stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Machida is looking for the KO! Machida walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Sirki� drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Machida swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Sirki�'s unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Renzo Machida! Renzo Machida spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant. Niko Sirki� was interviewed post fight and said '"That is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange aeons even death may die." '.
