Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Garland Nixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mason Field (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mason Field has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Garland Nixon's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Field. Nixon does a little dance to reset his feet.

Nixon tries to counter with a takedown but Field is quick to defend against it.

Field shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nixon's guard.

Nixon gets tackled into the cage by Field. Field maintains the clinch.

Nixon works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Field throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nixon was covering up waiting for the punch and Field finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Nixon stands and steps away. Field gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Nixon is trying to push Field away but Field has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Field keeps control of Nixon as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Nixon's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That was a close second round but I would say that Garland Nixon will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Field throws the kick towards the body but Nixon avoids it.
Nixon is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Field.

Field drops Nixon with a beautiful combination! Nixon stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Field is looking for the KO!

It looks like Garland Nixon has been cut.

Let's hope that Field has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Field looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Nixon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Mason Field comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Field has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
