Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Waldo Boss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Woodward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Edward Woodward struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 146.6lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Waldo Boss! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edward Woodward! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Roberts and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boss shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Woodward's guard. Woodward looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Boss drops back looking for a leg! Woodward is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Woodward manages to kick Boss off! Boss jumps back into Woodward's guard. Boss working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Woodward looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Woodward has momentary wrist control but Boss slips an elbow through the middle. Woodward controls Boss momentarily but Boss frees himself. Boss forces his way into half guard. Boss throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boss not doing much here.
Boss drops an elbow to the side of Woodward's head. Boss stalling. Boss scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Boss content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Boss looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Boss has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Boss slips a nice elbow through Woodward's hands, connecting with Woodward's forehead. Boss is taking a breather. Woodward says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Boss seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Boss is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boss wants to work for an arm triangle but Woodward is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Boss looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Boss takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Woodward is trying to control but can't.
Woodward tries to roll over but Boss keeps him under control. Boss wants to lay and pray for a moment but Woodward keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Waldo Boss dominated that round. That's time! Boss's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Boss changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Woodward looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Boss trying to control the position but Woodward is working away. Boss is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Woodward's shoulder. That is not cool. You can see the frustration on Woodward's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Woodward tries to improve position but can't. Boss is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Woodward knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Woodward is breathing heavily. Boss is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Woodward is trying to escape and Boss transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Woodward is forced to tap! Nice work there by Boss! Very nice indeed!
