Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karol Pawlak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicholas Arnold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Nicholas Arnold enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Karol Pawlak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nicholas Arnold!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arnold throws a nice looking combination but Pawlak bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Pawlak was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Arnold swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Arnold avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Arnold misses with a double jab.

Arnold looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Pawlak!
Arnold misses with the ground and pound.
Pawlak on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pawlak tries to get out of the position.
Arnold lands a decent elbow from side control.
Arnold has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Arnold is looking to take a break and control but Pawlak is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Arnold's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Arnold wants to hold on but Pawlak pushes him away.

Arnold tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Pawlak looking to control but Arnold is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Arnold wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Pawlak.
Arnold flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Arnold is trying to escape the mount.
Pawlak won't let Arnold get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Arnold tries to reverse the position but Pawlak maintains control.

Pawlak goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Arnold is on top in guard.
Arnold tries to free his leg and advance position but Pawlak is retaining full guard.

Pawlak is trying to keep Arnold in close.

Arnold is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Pawlak is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Pawlak has escaped and now he's on top!

Arnold will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Arnold keeping moving, preventing Pawlak from controlling successfully.
Pawlak knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Arnold on the ground.
Arnold looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pawlak is one step ahead there.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Arnold is trying to control the position but Pawlak postures up.
Pawlak showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Pawlak wants to control from the top but Arnold keeps moving.
Arnold trying to keep a closed guard but Pawlak is proving a slippery customer.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Karol Pawlak will probably get the nod.

Arnold closes the distance and clinches up with Pawlak, looking for a takedown. Arnold pushes Pawlak against the cage but Pawlak circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Arnold stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Arnold wants it to stay on the feet.
Pawlak sets himself, and Arnold steps forward looking for the clinch! Pawlak avoids it this time.
Arnold misses with a double jab.
Pawlak shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Arnold pinned against the cage. Arnold gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Arnold shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pawlak looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pawlak is not content to let Arnold control the position.

Pawlak tries to clinch but Arnold moves out of range.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Nicholas Arnold showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Pawlak dives in for a single leg takedown but Arnold sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Pawlak is looking to clinch but Arnold is avoiding it.

Arnold gets caught napping as Pawlak dives in and scores a takedown. Arnold manages to retain guard.
Pawlak will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Arnold is looking to stand up but Pawlak isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Arnold has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Pawlak doesn't defend quickly enough and Arnold has managed to lock this one up! Can Pawlak escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Arnold on a fantastic submission victory.
