Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Spartak Yuri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Petrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrov scores with a takedown into Yuri's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yuri utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Petrov chips away with some ground and pound.
Petrov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Petrov stands up over Yuri, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Petrov is pushing down on Yuri's leg trying to pass to half guard. Yuri is fighting to maintain full guard but Petrov has managed to sneak the leg through.

Yuri is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Petrov is working for a kimura but Yuri is defending it quite comfortably.
Petrov looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Yuri with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Yuri definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Petrov seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Yuri wants to get back to full guard.
Petrov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Yuri is bucking up trying to escape but Petrov cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Yuri is in a horrible position here. Petrov smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Yuri misses with an attempted mid kick.
Petrov moves out of range as Yuri throws a body kick.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Yuri connects with a jab.
Yuri throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Spartak Yuri is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Petrov blocks a leg kick.
Yuri throws a leg kick that misses.
Yuri throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Petrov throws a low kick but it's checked well by Yuri.
Yuri misses with a wild body shot.
Yuri tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Petrov paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Yuri pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Spartak Yuri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Petrov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Yuri was covering up waiting for the punch and Petrov finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Petrov scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Petrov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Yuri swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Yuri is trying to control the position but Petrov postures up.
Yuri is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Petrov is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Petrov stays in close to Yuri's body and controls the position.
Petrov gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Yuri tries to close the distance and clinch but Petrov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Petrov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Yuri's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Petrov not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Petrov's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Yuri knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Petrov on the ground.
It looks like Petrov might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Petrov takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
It looks like Vladimir Petrov has been cut.
Petrov keeps the fight on the outside.
A shot to the liver by Yuri. Beautiful body shot.
Yuri misses with a low kick.
Yuri sets himself, and Petrov steps forward looking for the clinch! Yuri avoids it this time.
Petrov shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Yuri manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Yuri is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Petrov keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Yuri's head.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Petrov uses his free foot to push down on Yuri's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Yuri.

Petrov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Yuri tries to lock up and control but Petrov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Petrov lands a big shot there that rocks Yuri but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Petrov quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Petrov but it's paid off an Yuri is forced to tap! Nice work by Petrov.

After the fight, Vladimir Petrov was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
