Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Coz Castillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wakoko Wakeke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Coz Castillo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wakoko Wakeke!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wakeke stuffs the takedown attempt from Castillo. Castillo gets slowly back to his feet.
Castillo seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Wakeke slaps away a takedown attempt from Castillo, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Castillo moves out of range of the body kick from Wakeke.

Castillo drops down looking for a counter takedown but Wakeke sprawls and moves away.

It looked like Castillo was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Wakeke ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Wakeke wants to counter with a clinch but Castillo pushes him away.

Castillo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Castillo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wakeke's waist but Wakeke gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Castillo off to one side.

Wakoko Wakeke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wakeke pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Wakoko Wakeke seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Castillo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Wakeke bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Castillo moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Wakeke lands with a thumping leg kick.
Wakeke throws a body shot but no joy.
Castillo tries to counter with a takedown but Wakeke is quick to defend against it.
Wakeke has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Castillo is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Castillo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wakeke is fending him off so far but Castillo persists. Nope, Wakeke circles away and we're back to standing.

Wakeke makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wakeke wants to stand but Castillo has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Coz Castillo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well Wakeke has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
