Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ichirai Hoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chinzo Matsuzaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ichirai Hoshi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chinzo Matsuzaka! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Fujiwara and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matsuzaka gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Hoshi throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Hoshi working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Matsuzaka's head. Hoshi tries to stand but Matsuzaka is controlling from the bottom. Hoshi wants to control from the top but Matsuzaka keeps moving. Hoshi passes Matsuzaka's left leg - he's now in half guard. Hoshi wants to pass to mount but Matsuzaka is defending the position. Matsuzaka trying to control from the bottom.
Matsuzaka is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Hoshi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoshi is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Hoshi missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Matsuzaka really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hoshi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Matsuzaka trying to control but Hoshi postures up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Hoshi avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hoshi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Matsuzaka swivels and escapes. Hoshi fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Hoshi really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Matsuzaka tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hoshi swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Matsuzaka tries to clinch up but Hoshi circles away and keeps his distance. The fight stays on the outside here - Matsuzaka looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Hoshi circles away from the clinch attempt.
Matsuzaka moves in looking to clinch but Hoshi pushes him off. Hoshi throws a low kick, looking for Matsuzaka's leg but Matsuzaka calmly moves out of range. Hoshi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Matsuzaka swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ichirai Hoshi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hoshi gets a takedown into half guard. Hoshi is breathing heavily. Hoshi keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Hoshi sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Matsuzaka defending well though. Hoshi tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Matsuzaka wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoshi content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Hoshi missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Hoshi is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Hoshi thows a huge punch but Matsuzaka dodges it nicely.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Matsuzaka tries to clinch there but Hoshi circles away.

Hoshi keeps the fight on the outside. Matsuzaka gets a clinch. Hoshi looking for a takedown. Hoshi tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Matsuzaka just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Matsuzaka lands a nice elbow. Matsuzaka landing knees to the head.
Hoshi on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Matsuzaka fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hoshi, pushing him back against the cage. Matsuzaka using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Hoshi has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Matsuzaka keeps control of Hoshi as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Hoshi has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Matsuzaka is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Hoshi swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Hoshi goes for a takedown in the clinch but Matsuzaka prevents it.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Hoshi tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Matsuzaka smiles and moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ichirai Hoshi dominated that round. That's time! Hoshi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Matsuzaka tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hoshi swats him away and circles back towards the center. Matsuzaka clinches up against the cage. Matsuzaka landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Hoshi has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Hoshi throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Hoshi's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Hoshi wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Hoshi using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

Hoshi is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Hoshi drops down looking for an ankle pick but Matsuzaka pulls his leg out and moves away.

Chinzo Matsuzaka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Matsuzaka tries to clinch up and Hoshi decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Matsuzaka's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Chinzo Matsuzaka will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Ichirai Hoshi's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Ichirai Hoshi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hoshi works his way into full mount! Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoshi controlling from mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hoshi has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Matsuzaka's face.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Matsuzaka tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hoshi lands a heavy elbow. Hoshi trying to control but he's not successful this time. Matsuzaka tries to reverse the position but Hoshi maintains control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoshi trying to control but Matsuzaka is having none of it. Hoshi sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Hoshi stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Hoshi throws a series of punches but Matsuzaka avoids them all with ease. Hoshi throws a push kick but Matsuzaka slaps the foot to one side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. The crowd cheers as Hoshi lands an impressive looking overhand right. Matsuzaka doesn't seem phased though. Hoshi gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Matsuzaka throws a knee to the head but misses.

And that's the end of the fight! Ichirai Hoshi showed his dominance in that final round. I think Hoshi has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
