Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Guillermo Mendez!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Illya Tyunina and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryu instigates a clinch.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Mendez has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Ryu stalling against the cage.
Ryu lands a knee to the body.
Ryu putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Mendez in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Ryu lands a good knee to the midsection. Mendez won't want to take too many of those.
Mendez looks winded!
Ryu drops Mendez with a big knee straight up the middle! Mendez is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Mendez is rocked!
It looks like Guillermo Mendez has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ryu is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Mendez hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
