Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Bowen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gerald Hendo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bobby Bowen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gerald Hendo! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bowen shoots in for a takedown but Hendo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Bowen forces Hendo back against the cage and clinches. Bowen is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hendo can't fight it off and eventually Bowen manages to take the fight to the floor. Hendo looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Bowen throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hendo holds on and takes a little breather. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bowen trying to control but Hendo is working from the bottom. Bowen is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hendo is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bowen throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Bowen is standing up over Hendo. Hendo looks to escape but Bowen dives into side control.
Hendo is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hendo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bowen sprawls well initially but Hendo persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Bowen trying to control but Hendo postures up.
My spies in Bobby B's Gem inform me that Hendo has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Bowen tries to get to full guard but Hendo has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bowen trying to control from the bottom.
Hendo performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Bowen has his hands clasped together around Hendo's back. He's all about the action. Bowen looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hendo seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Bowen works his way to full guard. Good work. Bowen has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Hendo should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Bowen has tightened it up now! Hendo should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
