Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Toucan Sam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joy James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Toucan Sam! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joy James! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James tests Sam's chin there with a solid looking shot.
It looks like Toucan Sam has been cut. James takes a swing at Sam's ribcage but misses. Sam was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. James has closed the distance and engaged Sam in a clinch.
James lands a nice uppercut. A short uppercut from James. Sam throws a head punch that misses. James throws a punch but it's blocked by Sam. James blocks a body shot from Sam. Sam throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. James misses with a body punch.
James tries to throw a body punch but Sam avoids it by throwing James back against the cage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for James. Sam prevents a body shot from James. Sam breaks from the clinch.
Sam scores with a crisp jab that stopped James in his tracks. James cracks Sam with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. James has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Sam to stand back up!
Sam is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. James blocks a jab. Sam throws a shot from downtown. James moves away and avoids it. James throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. It looked like Sam wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Sam seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. James lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sam circles away quickly and effectively. James keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sam uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by James.
Good exchange - Sam coming out on top. Sam takes a swing at James's ribcage but misses. A nice side step and James releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Sam throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sam tries to close the distance and clinch up but James swats him away and circles back towards the center. James ducks under a wild hook from Sam. Nice shot lands for Sam. James misses with a hook. Sam throws a looping overhand right but James ducks down to avoid it. James throws a body shot but no joy. A little feinted left hand from Sam on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. James ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sam moves away. Sam slips a jab from James. James swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sam was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Sam drops his hands momentarily and James takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Toucan Sam's cut is getting worse. James walks into a stiff left hand from Sam.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James drops Sam with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sam looks back up at him and smiles so James waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Sam is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sam leaves his chin hanging out and James seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Sam crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
