Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Chad Campbell and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burt fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Burt throws a head kick that misses.
RIck throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Burt was covering up waiting for the punch and RIck finishes the takedown easily into guard.
RIck trying to control but Burt is working from the bottom.
RIck has gone for a leg lock! Burt slips out almost immediately though and dives into RIck's guard.
RIck is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Burt is aware though and is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Burt wants to control from the top but RIck keeps moving.
RIck is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Burt frees his head nicely. Oh but RIck has switched to an armbar! Burt is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
