Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 19 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kirk Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Ryan!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Lou da Vinci and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Hall.
Ryan shoots in looking for a takedown but Hall manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ryan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Ryan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hall manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ryan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Hall rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ryan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ryan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hall, pushing him back against the cage.
Ryan looking for a takedown.
Ryan has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hall after a bit of a struggle.
Kirk Hall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Ryan.
Ryan has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hall avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hall is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Hall utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hall is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Ryan can't get the takedown.

Ryan is trying to pull guard but Hall turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Hall wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Ryan breaks from the clinch.
Ryan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A decent looking cross lands there for Hall.
Ryan closes the distance and clinches.
Hall is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Hall wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Ryan tries to land a knee to the head but Hall blocks with his arms.
Hall pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hall misses with a wild combination.
Ryan doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hall throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ryan tries to clinch but Hall moves out of range.
Kirk Hall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oooh a lovely combination from Hall sends Ryan down but not out. Hall dives into side control looking to finish.
Ryan is rocked!
It looks like Matt Ryan has been cut.
Hall scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Ryan is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Hall can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
