PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fubar Teller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seb Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Fubar Teller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Seb Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz connects with a nice looking jab.
Teller throws a body shot but no joy.
Fubar Teller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diaz fails with a takedown attempt.
Diaz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Teller as he jumps to the side.
Teller dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Teller gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Diaz takes a knee right on the jaw!

Diaz looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Diaz tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Fubar Teller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Seb Diaz.

The referee is keeping an eye on Diaz - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Teller lands a knee to the body.
Diaz can't get the takedown.
Teller lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Diaz is rocked!


It looks like Seb Diaz has been cut.
Teller lands a nice knee to the body.

Teller gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Teller postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Diaz is still in real trouble! Can Teller finish him?

Teller drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Diaz manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Teller has Diaz in his guard.
Diaz seems to have recovered his senses.

Teller throws his legs up looking for a submission but Diaz uses it to pass to side control.
Teller is looking to reverse the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Teller is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Diaz's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Teller tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Teller is trying to get back to full guard.
Teller might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Teller lands with a few short shots to the body.
Teller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Teller is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Diaz is looking to take a break and control but Teller is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Teller looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Diaz pushes past his half guard into mount!
Diaz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Teller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Diaz prevents Teller from getting the reversal.
Teller gets back to half guard.
Teller is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Diaz's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Diaz's back!

Teller is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Diaz. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

Teller has got one arm under Diaz's chin. This could be trouble... Diaz trying to control the other hand but Teller gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Diaz has tapped out! The fight is over!
