Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jens Klandtman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Basil McCrystal! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McCrystal is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. McCrystal scores with a punch to the head. McCrystal stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McCrystal wants it to stay on the feet. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Klandtman is defended easily by McCrystal. McCrystal shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Klandtman eats them both and turns towards McCrystal to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. McCrystal sizes up Klandtman with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. We've been told by Klandtman's head coaches at All Time Wrestling - 12 ELITE COACHES that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. McCrystal darts in and out, connecting with a jab. McCrystal closes the distance and clinches. Klandtman wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jens Klandtman. That's going to take a lot out of him. McCrystal drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Klandtman gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Klandtman drops down looking for an ankle pick but McCrystal pulls his leg out and moves away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Klandtman drives through with a takedown into McCrystal's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's one minute gone in the round. Klandtman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McCrystal swivels though and keeps the full guard. Klandtman stops McCrystal from standing up. Klandtman looking to sit in guard and control but McCrystal gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Klandtman throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! McCrystal escapes and throws Klandtman's legs to the side, diving into side control! McCrystal postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Klandtman is looking to regain half guard here but McCrystal keeps moving and retains side control. McCrystal creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Klandtman sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. McCrystal working the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Klandtman is looking for a sweep. McCrystal is looking to take a break and control but Klandtman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Klandtman gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. McCrystal is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. McCrystal thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Klandtman's head. Klandtman is in trouble now - McCrystal has advanced to mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Klandtman keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
McCrystal can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Klandtman is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McCrystal controlling from the full mount. Klandtman is wriggling around trying to escape.
Klandtman is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Klandtman on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Klandtman tries to get out of the position. Klandtman blocking the ground and pound. Klandtman tries to get back to half guard but can't. McCrystal looking to land elbow strikes but Klandtman uses the position to regain half guard. We've been informed that McCrystal has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. McCrystal thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. McCrystal is controlling the pace.

That's four minutes gone in the round. McCrystal is trying to control. Klandtman wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. McCrystal throwing shots but Klandtman is blocking nicely. Klandtman works his way to full guard. Good work. Klandtman has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think McCrystal should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Klandtman has tightened it up now! McCrystal should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
