The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendez with a lazy takedown attempt
and Maniek counters by clinching up.
Maniek drags the fight down to the ground.
Mendez trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Maniek manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Maniek really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mendez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
