Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Naya Shinoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shinoki kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is wadiako. Brian King will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
26 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Naya Shinoki ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brian King! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King misses with a wild combination.
Shinoki tries to counter with a takedown but King is quick to defend against it. King is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. King clinches with his opponent.
King wants to break the clinch but can't.
King escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Shinoki tries to keep at a distance but King has taken the fight into the clinch. Shinoki is looking for a takedown up against the cage. King gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Shinoki wants to take the fight to the mat but King manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. King is looking to break free of the clinch but Shinoki has double underhooks. King tries to break free but Shinoki pushes him back against the cage. Shinoki is looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Naya Shinoki . That's going to take a lot out of him. Shinoki manages to break the clinch.
King shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Shinoki as he jumps to the side.
That's one minute gone in the round. King wants to clinch up but Shinoki keeps it at a distance. King throws a series of punches but Shinoki avoids them all with ease. Shinoki drops down looking for a counter takedown but King sprawls and moves away. King throws a right and a left that Shinoki avoids nicely. Shinoki tries to counter with a takedown but King is quick to defend against it. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from King. King shoots in for a takedown but Shinoki shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. King tries to clinch but Shinoki moves away and Shinoki counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. King throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Shinoki stops King from standing up. Shinoki is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Shinoki is pushing down on King's leg trying to pass to half guard. King is fighting to maintain full guard but Shinoki has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shinoki is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. King lands a couple of sideways elbows. King is looking to improve his position.
Nice strikes from Shinoki there. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Shinoki connects with a nice short shot to King's temple. Shinoki throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Shinoki prevents King from improving his position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Shinoki has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of King's face.
Shinoki has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. King tries to get back to half guard but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. King is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. Shinoki looking for a guillotine from mount but King is having none of it. Shinoki controlling his opponent. King sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Shinoki working King over with strikes. That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Shinoki wants to control from the top but King keeps moving.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. King is trying hard to land a takedown here. Shinoki sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Shinoki changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. King tries to clinch up. Shinoki feinted with a counter takedown. No joy there for King, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

King manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Shinoki keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shinoki has hold of one of King's legs. King is fighting the takedown attempt but Shinoki gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Shinoki prevents King from getting back to his feet. King throws a couple of heel strikes.
King throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Shinoki slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. King wants to get back to his feet but Shinoki is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Shinoki lands a couple of digs. King kicks Shinoki off and gets to his feet. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! King has closed the distance and engaged Shinoki in a clinch.

That was a close second round but I would say that Naya Shinoki will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
