Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Campion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Vaughan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shane Vaughan will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thomas Campion! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Vaughan ! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Anthony Taglia and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Campion looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Campion working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Vaughan 's thigh. Vaughan counters though and makes it back to full guard. Vaughan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Campion scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Campion keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Vaughan 's head. Campion postures up.
Campion drops back looking for a leg! Vaughan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vaughan manages to kick Campion off! Campion jumps back into Vaughan 's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Campion passes easily into side control. Nice work. Campion has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Campion is chipping away with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vaughan gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Vaughan is trying to control but can't.
Campion thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Vaughan 's head. Vaughan keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Campion working over Vaughan with some ground and pound. Vaughan looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Campion is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Campion is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Vaughan is just riding it out for now. Campion eventually gives up the hold. Campion is trying to control the action in half guard but Vaughan is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Campion lands with a punch from half guard. Campion working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Vaughan avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Campion. Vaughan on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Campion scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Vaughan wants to improve his position but Campion is controlling well.
Vaughan has hold of Campion's hands but Campion slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Vaughan is staying active underneath Campion, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Vaughan wants to control but Campion is keeping busy and won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Campion keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Campion trying to pass the guard but Vaughan defending well. Vaughan wants to improve his position but Campion is controlling well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Campion lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Campion is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Ground and pound from Campion. Campion missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Campion is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Vaughan sees it coming and defends easily. Vaughan on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Campion is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Vaughan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Campion. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Campion takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Vaughan is trying to control but can't.
Campion lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Vaughan has hold of Campion's hands but Campion slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Campion missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Vaughan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Campion is working away from the top position though. Campion sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Vaughan defending well though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vaughan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Vaughan scores with a shot to the body.
Campion is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Vaughan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Campion clinches up with Vaughan and pushes him back against the cage. Campion has picked Vaughan up - he's going for a ride! Campion dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Campion connects with a nice short shot to Vaughan 's temple. Campion is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Campion unloading with bombs! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Campion raining down hammerfists from mount.
It looks like Shane Vaughan has been cut. Campion working away from the top, dropping strikes. Vaughan tries to lock up and control but Campion gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Vaughan really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Campion is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Vaughan has managed to escape the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Campion is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Vaughan is surviving well by controlling Campion's body position as best he can. Campion landing strikes from the mount and Vaughan is in trouble! Campion is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Vaughan has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Vaughan ! Campion is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Vaughan is aware though and is defending well. Vaughan sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Campion's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vaughan looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Thomas Campion overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Campion slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Vaughan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Campion tries to strike from the bottom.
Vaughan is fighting to break Campion's control of his arms but Campion is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Campion has his foot on Vaughan 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vaughan works his way back into a safe position though. Vaughan looking to sit in guard and control but Campion gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Vaughan trying to control the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Campion uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Vaughan . The fight moves into the clinch position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Campion lands an uppercut. Vaughan misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Campion is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Vaughan pulls him back up using the underhooks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thomas Campion dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Shane Vaughan 's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Campion gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Vaughan takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Campion working the head and body with strikes. You can see the frustration on Vaughan 's face as Campion controls the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Campion cracks Vaughan with a big right hand but Vaughan just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Campion has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Vaughan is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Campion yanks on the arm and Vaughan is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Campion.
