Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gustavo Carvalho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seto Takiama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gustavo Carvalho! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Seto Takiama! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carvalho gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Takiama counters with a straight right hand. Carvalho with a poor takedown and Takiama connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Carvalho dives in for a single leg takedown but Takiama sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Takiama! But no joy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gustavo Carvalho. That's going to take a lot out of him. Carvalho throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Carvalho. Takiama tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Carvalho closes the distance and clinches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carvalho tries to land knees in the clinch but Takiama avoids the damage to the body. Takiama tries to break free but Carvalho pushes him back against the cage. Carvalho is trying to drag Takiama to the mat but Takiama just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takiama is trying to break free. Takiama with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Takiama is looking to take this one to the mat. Carvalho swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Carvalho is trying to pull guard but Takiama has him pressed against the cage. Carvalho breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Takiama changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Carvalho looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Takiama looks winded! The strikes coming from Takiama are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Carvalho is trying to get back to half guard. Carvalho can't do much from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Takiama decides to stand back up. Takiama keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Takiama has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Carvalho is landing a low percentage of strikes. Takiama throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Carvalho tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Takiama is in Carvalho's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Takiama postures up.
Carvalho can't keep his opponent in guard - Takiama advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Carvalho moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Carvalho pulls Takiama in close to his closed guard and prevents Takiama from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carvalho has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Takiama prevents Carvalho from getting back to his feet. Carvalho trying to control the position.

Carvalho looking for a sweep. Not yet Carvalho, not yet. Takiama must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Takiama stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Carvalho has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Takiama manages to get his head free but now Carvalho has transitioned to an armbar! Takiama grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Carvalho! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
