Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alex Sednev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chem Spaletti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alex Sednev looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sednev drives through and clinches with Spaletti against the cage.

Sednev successfully pulls guard.

Spaletti has gone for a leg lock! Sednev slips out almost immediately though and dives into Spaletti's guard.
Sednev definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Spaletti is looking for a triangle but Sednev pushes his legs off easily.
Sednev won't allow Spaletti to sweep him here.
Sednev is stalling in the full guard.
Spaletti manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sednev manages to get himself to full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sednev is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Spaletti advances position into side control!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sednev tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Spaletti wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Spaletti is working to tighten his grip on Sednev's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Sednev has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Spaletti is really squeezing tight and eventually Sednev passes out! Spaletti breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
