The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bencek throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Watts was covering up waiting for the punch and Bencek finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Watts will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Watts thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Watts wants to sweep here but Bencek controlling him for the moment.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bencek is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Watts defends well.

Watts drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bencek pulls his leg out and moves away.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Watts tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bencek wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Bencek shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Watts is trying to defend but Bencek finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Bencek jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Watts is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Watts and Bencek has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Well Bencek has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
