Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rory Shachner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buck Wild (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buck Wild will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rory Shachner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Buck Wild!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Seu Braga and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shachner has closed the distance and engaged Wild in a clinch.
Wild is looking to break free of the clinch but Shachner has double underhooks.
Wild can't break the clinch.
Wild is trying to break free.
Shachner prevents Wild from breaking the clinch.

Shachner tightens his grip and picks Wild up, before dumping him to the ground. Wild manages to land in guard.

Shachner is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Wild has control of Shachner's left arm, preventing Shachner from doing any damage.
Shachner stops Wild from standing up.
Shachner stands and throws Wild's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Shachner is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Wild has escaped the position, nice work there.

Shachner advances to full mount.
Poor strikes thrown by Shachner there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Wild really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shachner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Shachner can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Wild is looking to escape.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Shachner is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Wild is surviving well by controlling Shachner's body position as best he can.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shachner wants to take Wild's back here but Wild is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Shachner wants to finish this one by submission but Wild is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Shachner.
Wild is desperately trying to improve his position but Shachner has a good base and remains in mount.

Shachner can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Wild is looking to escape.
Shachner moves to back control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Shachner is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Wild knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Wild for a finish.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wild works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Wild swats away the attempt to clinch by Shachner.
Shachner shoots for a takedown but Wild saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wild throws a right and a left that both miss.
Wild throws out a loose jab but Shachner uses good head movement to avoid it.
Shachner uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Wild.

Shachner shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Shachner seems to be working for a kimura but Wild defends the submission attempt.
Wild wants to get back to his feet.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wild can do anything to dispel that myth.
Wild is breathing heavily.
Shachner moves into full mount! Wild won't be happy about that!

Shachner is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Wild is surviving well by controlling Shachner's body position as best he can.

Shachner is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Wild can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Wild is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Shachner gets his way!

Wild lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Shachner closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wild to the mat! Wild manages to get full guard.
Wild is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Wild wants to control the action here but instead Shachner manages to pass to full mount!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Shachner is trying to take his opponent's back.
Wild wants to try and get back to his feet.
Wild is squirming around, avoiding Shachner's attempts to control the action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shachner unloads with some shots from mount but Wild bucks and avoids them well.

Shachner throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
You get the feeling that Wild really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Shachner has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Wild! Can he survive? No! He's out! Shachner gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
