Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Micheal Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Micheal Marsh has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Micheal Marsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Shawn Paul!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Matheus Silva and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paul is looking to clinch.
Paul stuffs the takedown.
Paul throws a series of strikes that have Marsh backpedaling.
Marsh changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Paul tries to avoid it but Marsh manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Paul to the ground. Paul escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Paul lands a big head kick that sends Marsh tumbling to the mat! Paul takes a step backwards and waves Marsh back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Marsh is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Paul has taken the fight to the clinch.
Oh Marsh is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Paul manages to pull guard.
Paul should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Paul working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Marsh doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Marsh manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Marsh feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
