Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jos Rodri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alan Mcdonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jos Rodri! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alan Mcdonald! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcdonald gets caught flat footed, as Rodri shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Rodri wants to control from the top but Mcdonald keeps moving. Rodri trying to stand up but can't free himself from Mcdonald's guard. Rodri not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mcdonald throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Mcdonald seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rodri knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mcdonald on the ground. Rodri looking to sit in guard and control but Mcdonald gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcdonald trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Rodri is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Mcdonald stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rodri swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mcdonald wanted to stand there but Rodri had control of the position. Rodri looking for a sweep. Not yet Rodri, not yet. Mcdonald wanted to stand there but Rodri had control of the position. Mcdonald slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Mcdonald scoring with some ground and pound. Mcdonald passes Rodri's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Mcdonald wants to stand up but Rodri has a hold of him and won't allow it. Mcdonald takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mcdonald connects with a nice short shot to Rodri's temple. Rodri wants to control but Mcdonald is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Well, if Mcdonald is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Mcdonald tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Rodri.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Mcdonald tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rodri swats him away and circles back towards the center. Mcdonald closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mcdonald lands in his opponent's guard. Rodri not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rodri escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mcdonald gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rodri looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Mcdonald controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Mcdonald trying to control but Rodri is working from the bottom. Mcdonald tries to free his leg and advance position but Rodri is retaining full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mcdonald not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Rodri fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mcdonald avoids it really well and circles away. Despite the aggression on Mcdonald's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alan Mcdonald dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Mcdonald has managed to clinch.
Rodri breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Rodri fails with the takedown. Mcdonald circles away from the clinch attempt.
Mcdonald dives in for a single leg takedown but Rodri sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Mcdonald fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rodri avoids it really well and circles away. Rodri shoots in for a double leg but Mcdonald sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rodri stuffs the takedown. Jos Rodri has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alan Mcdonald. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rodri. Mcdonald shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Rodri keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rodri tries to kick Mcdonald off but Mcdonald keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Mcdonald moves nicely into side control. Mcdonald staying calm. Mcdonald lands a nice forearm strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Mcdonald wants to stand but Rodri has his arm trapped. Rodri tries to buck Mcdonald off but Mcdonald is having none of it. Mcdonald content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Rodri might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Mcdonald is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rodri is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Rodri could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Rodri being controlled for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcdonald tries to stand but Rodri is controlling his head. Mcdonald working away. Mcdonald tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Mcdonald trying to control the position but Rodri is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Rodri tries to improve position but can't. Mcdonald wants to stand but Rodri has his arm trapped. Rodri can't do much from the bottom here. Mcdonald stands up and beckons Rodri to his feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rodri tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mcdonald sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rodri somewhat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alan Mcdonald showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Mcdonald displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rodri. Rodri shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mcdonald as he avoids it easily. Rodri fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mcdonald, pushing him back against the cage. Mcdonald is trying to pull guard but Rodri has him pressed against the cage. Mcdonald has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Rodri uses from the top position. Rodri is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Mcdonald has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Rodri is looking to defend but Mcdonald has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Rodri! Mcdonald pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Rodri taps out and this one is all over!
