Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lamont Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nelson Gable (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gable has chosen Pelican - Mammoth as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lamont Banner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nelson Gable!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Kavanagh and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gable with a lazy takedown attempt
and Banner cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Gable on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Banner lands a jab to the head.

and Banner finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Gable has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Banner.

Gable takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Banner's corner calls for a 1-2. Banner obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Gable crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Banner - the referee stops the clock and Gable gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Banner. Gable manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Banner, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
