Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Edmundo Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cri Cross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Edmundo Mack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Cri Cross !
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mack drives through and clinches with Cross against the cage.
Cross looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Mack pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Cross swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Mack counters with a big head kick but Cross shrugs it off.

Mack moves into the clinch.
Mack tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Mack successfully pulls guard.

Mack is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cross is aware though and is defending well.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Cross working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Cross wants to stand and escape but instead Mack has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mack is in close to Cross 's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Mack gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Mack stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mack wants it to stay on the feet.

Mack clinches with his opponent.

Mack pulls guard.
Mack wants to sweep here but Cross controlling him for the moment.
Mack is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Mack throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Mack tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Mack has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cross can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Mack working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cross doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cross manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Mack might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Mack pushes a forearm under Cross 's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Cross is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Edmundo Mack!
