Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jospeh Clay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Ochoa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Ochoa has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jospeh Clay! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Ochoa! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ochoa tries to clinch but Clay is having none of it. Ochoa throws a shot to the body.
Ochoa shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Clay is trying to defend but Ochoa finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Clay makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Ochoa shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Clay's guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Clay manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Clay manages to pull guard.
Ochoa drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Clay manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ochoa has Clay in his guard.
Clay stands up and waves to Ochoa to follow him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ochoa shoots in and gets a takedown into Clay's guard. Clay has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Ochoa is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Clay lands a takedown into guard.
Clay keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ochoa's head. Clay working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Clay gets to his feet. Ochoa looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Ochoa drives through with a takedown into guard. Clay pushes Ochoa off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Ochoa looks winded! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Clay shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Ochoa wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Clay manages to pass to side control. Clay really is a fat lump. Clay lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Clay is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ochoa sees it coming and defends easily. Clay working the head and body with strikes. Clay is looking for a kimura but Ochoa is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Clay to get the leverage. Clay decides to return to a standing position. Ochoa avoids a punch combination nicely.
Clay has taken the fight to the clinch.
Clay breaks the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Clay tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Ochoa is able to avoid easily. Ochoa feints the counter takedown. A momentary lapse in concentration from Clay enables Ochoa to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Clay manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Clay uses the cage to get back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Clay gets in close and instigates a clinch. Clay has hold of one of Ochoa's legs. Ochoa is fighting the takedown attempt but Clay gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Ochoa wants to get back to his feet but Clay passes into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Clay content to control rather than advance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jospeh Clay dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Clay looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Ochoa is trying to escape back to his feet but Clay uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Ochoa is trying to work for a sweep but Clay has mounted him! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Clay lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Clay jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Ochoa manages to avoid the submission attempt. Clay has hold of Ochoa's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Ochoa seems comfortable defending it but Clay has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Ochoa is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Ochoa is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Clay couldn't care less - he's delighted!
