Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Dozer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ajai Hoo!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Phil Schofield and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoo punishes Dozer's body with a nice straight punch.
A leg kick checked by Hoo.
Dozer connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Hoo slips under a jab from Dozer.
Hoo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dozer.
Hoo on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Dozer takes one to the chin there.
Hoo doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Frank Dozer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hoo misses with a low kick as Dozer jumps back.
Dozer throws a body punch but Hoo moves out of range.
Dozer looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Dozer avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hoo gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dozer walks forward, straight into a front kick from Hoo.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hoo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Dozer rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hoo counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Dozer avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Dozer was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Hoo thuds his shin into the meat of Dozer's side.
Dozer misses with a left hand
and Hoo counters with a nice kick to the body.
Dozer is breathing heavily.
Hoo blocks a jab.
Hoo stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
It looks like Frank Dozer has been cut.
Hoo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dozer was well out of range. Poor timing from Hoo.
Dozer just misses with a punch to the body.
Dozer misses with a wild body shot.
A head kick by Hoo - that's a beauty! Dozer is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Hoo can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Ajai Hoo!
