Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Terry OShea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Eliza Hachem and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OShea lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
OShea lands a nice looking kick to the body. Johnson takes a step back to recover.

Johnson rushes OShea and presses him up against the cage.
OShea wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Johnson has him pressed against the cage.
Johnson tries to circle away but OShea has him pinned against the cage.

OShea is trying to pull guard but Johnson has him pressed against the cage.

OShea manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Johnson wanted to stand there but OShea had control of the position.
Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with OShea. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Johnson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and OShea dives on top into guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Johnson can do anything to dispel that myth.
OShea looking to sit in guard and control but Johnson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Johnson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of OShea's head.
Johnson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
OShea swings for the body but Johnson moves out of range.

OShea fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Johnson manages to avoid it.
Johnson steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from OShea.

OShea is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Johnson to keep the fight standing.
OShea could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Johnson works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
OShea blocks an elbow strike.
OShea tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Johnson smiles and moves away.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
and Johnson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

OShea looks to score with a jab to the body but Johnson is just out of range.
Johnson looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Johnson is trying to trip OShea. He has hold of a leg but OShea is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Johnson persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

OShea is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Johnson presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
OShea is trying to break the clinch but Johnson has him pressed against the cage.

Johnson is nestled in close to OShea, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Terry OShea seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Johnson connects with a nice short shot to OShea's temple.

Johnson wants to pass to mount but OShea is defending the position.

Johnson decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Alexander Johnson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Johnson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. OShea sprawls well initially but Johnson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Johnson wants to stand but his hand is trapped. OShea uses the opportunity to regain full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. OShea swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Johnson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

OShea working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Johnson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Johnson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Johnson is pushing OShea up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
OShea is trying to break the clinch but Johnson is controlling him.

Johnson has OShea pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Johnson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending OShea tumbling to the mat - Johnson dives into OShea's guard.

OShea manages to escape and get back to his feet.

OShea looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

OShea gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
