Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Roman Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Railio Gonbon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonbon slips a jab and a cross from Jones.
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jones with a body punch. A glancing blow.
A combination from Gonbon does no damage.
Gonbon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gonbon off to one side.

Gonbon makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Gonbon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Jones goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Gonbon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Gonbon controls Jones momentarily but Jones frees himself.
Gonbon manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Railio Gonbon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Gonbon tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it.

Gonbon displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jones throws out the jab.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gonbon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Gonbon is looking to take a break and control but Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
