Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wang Bho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Piedra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlos Piedra acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Wang Bho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Carlos Piedra!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Bho.
Bho looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Piedra is looking to clinch but Bho is avoiding it.
Bho goes for a double leg but Piedra avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Piedra continues to drive forward.
Piedra throws a big counter head kick but Bho avoids it with no problem.

Piedra gets a double leg takedown into Bho's guard.
Piedra is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Piedra thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Piedra postures up in Bho's guard and throws a big left but Bho blocks it.
Piedra wants to pass the guard but Bho is keeping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Piedra has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bho is proving hard to escape from.

Bho escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Piedra gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Piedra trying to control the position from guard on top but Bho is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Bho throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Piedra shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bho is trying to defend but Piedra finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Piedra connects with a nice short shot to Bho's temple.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Piedra wants to stand up but Bho has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Piedra trying to control the pace.
Bho looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Bho wants to improve his position but Piedra is controlling well.
Piedra seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Bho makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bho.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Piedra tries to stand but Bho is controlling from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Piedra shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Bho is trying to control but can't.
Piedra is keen to just control but Bho is a slippery customer.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Bho is trying to maintain the position but Piedra is very close to passing his half guard.
Piedra really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bho. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
It looks like Piedra is going to stand back up.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Piedra with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Piedra shoots in and bounces Bho off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Piedra trying to control the position from guard on top but Bho is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Piedra lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Piedra throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Carlos Piedra is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Piedra tries to clinch but fails miserably

so Bho counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Piedra is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Piedra looking for a sweep. Not yet Piedra, not yet.
Bho postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bho slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bho working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Piedra wants to control but Bho is keeping him busy.
Bho gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Bho looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Bho tries to roll over but Piedra keeps him under control.

Bho is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Piedra pulls his head out easily.

Piedra bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Bho is trying to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bho can't do much from the bottom here.

Piedra looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Bho is looking to regain half guard here but Piedra keeps moving and retains side control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carlos Piedra showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Piedra throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bho half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Piedra changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bho looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Piedra stands up and beckons Bho to his feet.

Piedra scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Piedra is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bho has managed to free his arm - good work.

Bho is trying to get back to full guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Bho is refusing to be controlled, as Piedra sits in half guard.
Bho preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Bho on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Bho is looking to improve his position.
Wang Bho has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Piedra trying to control the action but Bho is working from the bottom.
Bho tries to roll over but Piedra keeps him under control.
Bho is staying active underneath Piedra, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Piedra is looking to clinch but Bho is avoiding it.

Piedra drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bho is on top in guard.
Bho might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Piedra is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bho defends well.
Bho stands up over Piedra, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Bho throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Piedra manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Bho stalling in the clinch.
Bho tries to pull guard but Piedra forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Piedra gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Piedra is looking to take a break and control but Bho is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bho is looking for a sweep. Piedra is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Carlos Piedra is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bho tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

And that's the end of the fight!
Carlos Piedra comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Piedra winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
