Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jorjo Kozacz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michal Elsner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michal Elsner acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jorjo Kozacz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Michal Elsner!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.

Kozacz gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Elsner is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Kozacz shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Elsner napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Kozacz is trying to get an arm triangle but Elsner is defending well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Kozacz thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Our spies down at at Russian Fighting Community Gym inform us that Elsner has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Elsner is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kozacz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Elsner swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kozacz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kozacz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Jorjo Kozacz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Kozacz is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Elsner looks calm but he's in trouble here. Kozacz gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Elsner is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Kozacz lets go of the hold and Elsner can pop his arm back in it's socket.
