Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyron Lawler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Psycho Vaughan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyron Lawler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Psycho Vaughan!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Bruno Lombardi and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vaughan gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lawler trying to control the position from guard on top but Vaughan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lawler content to stall in guard here.
Vaughan looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Lawler postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lawler is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Lawler takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Tyron Lawler is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Vaughan counters with a left to the body.
Lawler shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vaughan pinned against the cage. Vaughan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Vaughan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

It looks like Tyron Lawler has been cut.

Vaughan misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Vaughan seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Vaughan connects with a nice short shot to Lawler's temple.
Oh Lawler is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Vaughan is trying to control the action in half guard but Lawler is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

We've been hearing that Lawler has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Vaughan looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Vaughan closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Vaughan is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Lawler is hurt! He's hurt bad - Vaughan fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Lawler from any more punishment! Congratulations to Vaughan! Great finish!
