The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Fran stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Lopez moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
De Fran lands a jab to Lopez's midsection.
De Fran is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Lopez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lopez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. De Fran was covering up waiting for the punch and Lopez finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Lopez wants to control from the top but De Fran keeps moving.
Lopez content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because De Fran has locked up a guillotine! De Fran's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Lopez is holding on here and De Fran must be using up a lot of energy. Lopez has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! De Fran gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
