And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Firm throws a combination that misses
and Maximoff cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Firm throws a hook to the side of Maximoff's head but Maximoff sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Maximoff connects with a solid leg kick.
A slapping body kick lands there for Maximoff.
Firm misses with a straight left.
Maximoff pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Firm. Maximoff does a little dance to reset his feet.
A right-left combo lands from Firm.
Maximoff cracks Firm with a right hand to the side of the head.
Firm misses with a hook.
Maximoff lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Firm takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Nice shot lands for Maximoff.

Firm has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Maximoff takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

and Firm counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Maximoff throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Maximoff ducks under a wild hook from Firm.
Firm uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Maximoff has time to react.
Maximoff throws the left hand but Firm avoids the punch easily.
Firm throws out a counter right but Maximoff avoids it with no problem.
Firm jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Firm dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Maximoff pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Maximoff ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Maximoff bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Firm thuds his right hand into Maximoff's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Sloppy strikes from Firm. Those never looked like landing.

Firm listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
