Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Waddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Many (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Waddell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roy Many!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waddell shoots for a double leg takedown but Many sprawls well. He's pushed Waddell's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Waddell fails with an attempt to clinch.

Many gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Many has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Waddell uses from the top position.
Many wants to control the position but Waddell says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Many is looking for a sweep. Waddell is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Many is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Many holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Many kicks Waddell off and gets back to his feet.
Many changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Waddell tries to avoid it but Many manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Waddell to the ground. Waddell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Roy Many seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Waddell closes the distance but Many moves to the side

and Many counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Many.
Many should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Many wants to control from the top but Waddell keeps moving.
Many is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Waddell is looking to stand back up but Many counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Waddell.

Many stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Waddell to get to his feet.

Many changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Waddell looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Many is looking to take a break and control but Waddell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Many looks gassed!

Many thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Waddell explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

and Many counters with a nice double leg into side control. Waddell won't be happy with that.
Waddell is not content to let Many control the position.
Many looking to control but instead Waddell has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roy Many dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Many keeps the fight on the outside.
Many wants to clinch but Waddell slips to the side

and Waddell counters by moving into the clinch.
Waddell wants to get back to striking at distance but Many won't allow it.
Many fails to pull guard.
Waddell trying to land knees to the body.
Waddell with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Many tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Waddell smiles and moves away.
Waddell throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Many's waist but Many gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Waddell off to one side.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Many throws a body kick the misses

and Waddell counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Waddell wants to stand and escape but instead Many has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Many decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Waddell, up you get!
Nice body punch from Many.

Many has managed to clinch.

Many breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Waddell uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Many.

Many gets the takedown into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Waddell is not content to let Many control the position.
Many throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Many taking a breather here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Many scores with punches from side control.

Many in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Many swings around for an armbar but Waddell sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Many's guard.
Waddell wants to stand but Many has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Many is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Waddell pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Many is keeping the position for now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Many is looking to stand up but Waddell isn't so interested in that idea.
Many looking to hit a scissor sweep but Waddell is one step ahead there.
Many trying to keep a closed guard but Waddell is proving a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that William Waddell will probably get the nod.

Many clinches up with Waddell and pushes him back against the cage.
Waddell gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Many.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Many wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Waddell connects with a knee to the head.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Many tries to pull guard but Waddell holds him up against the cage and eventually Many drops back down to his feet.

Waddell misses with a knee strike.

Many breaks from the clinch.
Waddell doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Many counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Many decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Many circles away from the clinch attempt
and Many counters with a three punch combo that has Waddell backing up. Waddell nods at Many to acknowledge the strikes.
Waddell tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Many decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Waddell's guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Many works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Waddell is trying to stand.
Waddell wants to control but Many is keeping busy.
Many is looking to stall here but Waddell recovers full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Many not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Many lands a couple of elbows.
Waddell keeping moving, preventing Many from controlling successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Many sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Many trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Many is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Many passes Waddell's left leg - he's now in half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Roy Many comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Many has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
