Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thorhall Armodson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Junior Nelson! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Armodson taking a breather. Nelson wants to get back to striking at distance but Armodson won't allow it.
Armodson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nelson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Armodson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Armodson counters with an inside leg kick. Armodson tries to land a body kick and Nelson counters with a left and a right that stings Armodson. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Armodson plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Junior Nelson has been cut. Nelson throws a sloppy head kick and Armodson moves into the clinch. Armodson just leaning against Nelson, taking a breather. Nelson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Armodson manages to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Armodson throws a body kick that misses. A head kick misses from Armodson. Nelson is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Nelson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Armodson looks to land a combination. Nelson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Some wild striking there from Armodson.

Nelson scores with a hook to the body. Armodson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. A head kick misses from Nelson. Nelson tries to clinch there but Armodson circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Armodson lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Armodson closes the distance and pushes Nelson back into the ropes. Armodson scores with a shot to the side of Nelson's head. Armodson with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Armodson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. This has been an exciting period of action! Armodson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Armodson has closed the distance and engaged Nelson in a clinch.

Nelson forces Armodson back against the ropes and clinches. Armodson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nelson wants to clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thorhall Armodson dominated that round. The cut man is working on Junior Nelson's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Nelson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Nelson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Armodson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Armodson gets in close and instigates a clinch. Armodson is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. A bit of stalling here from Armodson.
Armodson gets a warning from the ref for wasting time. Nelson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Armodson has him pressed against the ropes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nelson is struggling to control the position. Armodson tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Nelson breaks the clinch.

Armodson appears to be looking for a big counter. A punch combination from Nelson misses. Nelson looks to clinch and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Armodson instigates a clinch. Armodson connects with a nasty looking knee right to Nelson's face.
Nelson is rocked! The fighters are pressed against the ropes, as the pace of the fight slows. Nelson is still on wobbly legs! Can Armodson finish him? Armodson manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Armodson manages to break the clinch.
Armodson lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Nelson out cold! Nelson is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the ropes! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
