Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shaun Styles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Horcea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Shaun Styles has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shaun Styles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcus Horcea!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Styles fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Horcea tries to counter with a clinch but Styles shakes him off and moves away.

Horcea has managed to clinch.

Horcea jumps into guard, dragging Styles to the mat.
Styles stopping the sweep attempt from Horcea.
We've been hearing that Styles has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Styles wants to stand but Horcea is controlling his posture from full guard.
Horcea has his hands on Styles's head, controlling the position.
Horcea looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Styles drops down looking for an ankle pick but Horcea pulls his leg out and moves away.
Horcea darts in looking for a takedown but Styles gets double underhooks and turns Horcea into the cage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Styles closes this distance looking for a takedown but Horcea circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shaun Styles. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Styles is breathing heavily.
Horcea shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Styles pinned against the cage. Styles gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Horcea closes the distance and clinches.
Horcea tries to pull guard but Styles forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Styles prevents a takedown attempt there.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Styles breaks from the clinch.

Horcea misses with a takedown attempt - Styles sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Horcea crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Styles - the referee stops the clock and Horcea gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Styles. Horcea manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Styles shoots in for a takedown but Horcea shows good takedown defense.
Horcea tries to score a power double leg takedown but Styles sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Horcea somewhat.
As Horcea looks to move away, Styles throws a big counter combo bu Horcea just gets out of the way.
Styles scores with a leg kick.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Styles lands a nice hook to Horcea's body. Horcea takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Horcea changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Styles tries to avoid it but Horcea manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Styles to the ground. Styles escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Styles bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Horcea gets back to half guard.
Horcea makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Horcea.
Horcea is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Styles gets to his feet. Horcea looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Styles's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Styles shoots in for a double leg but Horcea sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Horcea shoots in but Styles avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Horcea shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Horcea was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Horcea is looking to take a break and control but Styles is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Styles seems a little lost for a moment, as Horcea dominates the positioning.

Horcea thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
You can see the frustration on Styles's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Styles manages to escape and get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Shaun Styles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Horcea.
Styles scores with a crisp jab that stopped Horcea in his tracks.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Styles closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Horcea is trying to control but can't.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Styles is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Horcea has managed to free his arm - good work.
Styles knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Horcea on the ground.
Horcea throws a strike from the bottom but Styles passes into side control!
Styles is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Horcea can do to turn this around?

Shaun Styles is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Horcea throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Styles tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Horcea is in Styles's guard.

Styles throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Styles feints and as Horcea raises his hands in defense, Styles changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Shaun Styles overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Horcea with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Styles can't handle though.
Horcea is pulling down on Styles's head to control his posture.
Horcea is trying to keep Styles in close.

Styles is fighting to break Horcea's control of his arms but Horcea is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Styles wants to control from the top but Horcea keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
