The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Visvaldis tries a head kick but it misses.
A head kick from Visvaldis lands but Adams takes it in his stride.
Visvaldis stuffs the takedown attempt from Adams. Adams gets slowly back to his feet.
Adams shoots in but no luck this time.
Adams darts in looking for a takedown but Visvaldis gets double underhooks and turns Adams into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Erich Adams. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Visvaldis defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Adams.
Visvaldis lands with a kick to the temple. Adams shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Erich Adams has been cut.

Visvaldis closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Visvaldis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Visvaldis connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Valdis Visvaldis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Visvaldis lands a jab to the nose.
Adams looks for a takedown but Visvaldis sprawls well.

Visvaldis gets a clinch.

Visvaldis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Visvaldis counters with a one-two to the body.

Visvaldis rushes Adams and presses him up against the cage.
Visvaldis lands a body punch in the clinch.

Adams tries to pull guard but Visvaldis holds him up against the cage and eventually Adams drops back down to his feet.
Adams is breathing heavily.

Visvaldis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Visvaldis lands a head kick!
Visvaldis lands with a nice combination. Adams backs away looking to recover.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Visvaldis lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Adams goes down and covers up as Visvaldis starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
