Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Knowles Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quinn Ravage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Knowles Jackson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Knowles Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Quinn Ravage!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson tries for a takedown but Ravage circles away easily
and Ravage counters with a thumping low kick.
Jackson shoots in but Ravage avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jackson is looking to clinch but Ravage is avoiding it.
Jackson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Knowles Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Ravage counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Ravage clinches with his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ravage has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Jackson is trying to keep an underhook but Ravage manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Ravage is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jackson has managed to free his arm - good work.

Ravage is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jackson is just riding it out for now. Ravage eventually gives up the hold.

Jackson pushes Ravage off and gets back to his feet.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ravage sprawls well. Ravage wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jackson gets slowly back to his feet.

Ravage drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jackson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jackson wants to clinch up but Ravage keeps it at a distance.
Jackson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ravage circles away.
Ravage tries a quick counter leg kick but Jackson is wise to it.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ravage appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Ravage turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Jackson shoots in for a double leg but Ravage sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Jackson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Ravage blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Jackson tries to pull guard but Ravage holds him up against the cage and eventually Jackson drops back down to his feet.
Ravage changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jackson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jackson closes the distance and clinches up with Ravage, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes Ravage against the cage but Ravage circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Jackson controls Ravage momentarily but Ravage frees himself.

Ravage postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jackson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ravage, into his guard.

Jackson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Jackson wants to stand but Ravage has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ravage has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Jackson is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jackson tries to break the clinch but Ravage is controlling the position.
Jackson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Ravage fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jackson sprawls well initially but Ravage persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ravage wants to free his trapped foot but Jackson is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Jackson is looking to control Ravage's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jackson avoid being mounted?

Ravage seems to be looking for submissions.
Jackson keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Ravage looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ravage thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Ravage has gone for a leg lock! Jackson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ravage's guard.

Quinn Ravage showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Ravage has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jackson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Knowles Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Quinn Ravage.

Jackson tries to stall but Ravage uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Ravage gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Ravage has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Jackson after a bit of a struggle.

Ravage has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jackson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Jackson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Ravage is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Jackson wants to sweep but no luck.

Jackson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ravage defends well.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Ravage pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jackson is keeping the position for now.

Ravage drops back looking for a leg! Jackson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jackson manages to kick Ravage off! Ravage jumps back into Jackson's guard.

Ravage is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jackson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jackson has escaped and now he's on top!

Ravage is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jackson is controlling him.
Quinn Ravage is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Jackson looking to sit in guard and control but Ravage gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Jackson pushes Ravage off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Knowles Jackson.
Well Ravage has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A pretty intense looking Quinn Ravage took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
Knowles Jackson spoke after the fight, saying 'He got lucky. I was just caught slipping and I can only blame myself.'.
