Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnson Blu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Blu cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Alexander gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Blu wants to control from the top but Alexander keeps moving.

The fighters circle momentarily. Blu darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Matt Alexander has been cut.
Alexander takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Alexander swats away the attempt to clinch by Blu.

Blu fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Alexander, pushing him back against the cage.

A looping hook to the body misses from Alexander. Blu does a little dance to reset his feet.
Blu tries to close the distance and clinch up but Alexander swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Blu drops back, looking for a kneebar! Alexander looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Alexander looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Alexander!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Matt Alexander.
Well Blu has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
