Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Egil Wiik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riki Horiguchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Egil Wiik! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Riki Horiguchi! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horiguchi manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Wiik on his heels. He'll look to pass Wiik's guard now, I'm sure. Horiguchi looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Wiik is looking for a triangle but Horiguchi pushes his legs off easily.
Wiik is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Horiguchi is controlling him. Wiik wants to sweep but no luck. Horiguchi's corner is telling him to maintain position. Wiik knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Horiguchi on the ground. Wiik pushes Horiguchi off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wiik bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Wiik is looking to take a break and control but Horiguchi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Wiik tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wiik wants to stand but Horiguchi has his arm trapped. Wiik scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Horiguchi to see if he's OK. Horiguchi is trying to get back to half guard. Wiik throwing shots but missing, from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Wiik working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Wiik in side control lands a decent elbow. Wiik wants to stand but Horiguchi is controlling his arm. Wiik working away. Wiik working the body and head with strikes. Wiik trying to control the position but Horiguchi is working away. Wiik scoring with punches and elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wiik working the head and body with strikes. Horiguchi is trying to control Wiik's posture but Wiik avoids it. Wiik tries to stand but Horiguchi is controlling his head. Wiik prevents Horiguchi from escaping the position. Wiik scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Horiguchi to see if he's OK. Horiguchi avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Wiik. Horiguchi tries to escape but Wiik is in control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Horiguchi is looking for a sweep.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Horiguchi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Wiik. Wiik closes the distance and clinches up with Horiguchi, looking for a takedown. Wiik pushes Horiguchi against the cage but Horiguchi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Horiguchi is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Horiguchi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Wiik shoots in but Horiguchi avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Egil Wiik. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Horiguchi pushes Wiik up against the cage in a clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Horiguchi forces Wiik back against the cage and clinches. Wiik slowing the pace effectively. Horiguchi stalling in the clinch.
Wiik wants to break free but Horiguchi has control.
Wiik breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wiik stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wiik wants it to stay on the feet. Horiguchi looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Wiik looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Despite the aggression on Horiguchi's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wiik wants to clinch. Horiguchi tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Horiguchi is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wiik shoots in looking for a takedown but Horiguchi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wiik's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Horiguchi misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Wiik dives in for a single leg takedown but Horiguchi sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Egil Wiik. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wiik swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Horiguchi misses with a head kick.
Horiguchi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Wiik closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Horiguchi did well to prevent Wiik getting side control. Horiguchi is looking to control Wiik's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Horiguchi avoid being mounted? Wiik not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Horiguchi regains full guard. Nicely done. Horiguchi wants to stand up but Wiik is controlling him. Horiguchi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Wiik wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Horiguchi tries to stand and escape but Wiik is controlling the position. Horiguchi throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Horiguchi with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Horiguchi decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Horiguchi throws the kick towards the body but Wiik avoids it. Wiik is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Horiguchi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Horiguchi dives in and scores a takedown into Wiik's guard. Wiik wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Horiguchi manages to pass to side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Riki Horiguchi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Wiik throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Horiguchi's waist but Horiguchi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wiik off to one side. Horiguchi feints the counter takedown. Horiguchi misses with a low kick.
A quick step to the side and Wiik tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Wiik misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Horiguchi pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Wiik tries to score a power double leg takedown but Horiguchi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wiik somewhat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wiik tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Horiguchi defends well and Wiik ends up having to push Horiguchi into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Egil Wiik. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Horiguchi shoots for a double leg takedown but Wiik sprawls well. He's pushed Horiguchi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Horiguchi fails to land with a series of punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Horiguchi is looking to clinch. Horiguchi gets caught flat footed, as Wiik shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Wiik has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Horiguchi to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Wiik is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Horiguchi pulls down on the head and he's put Wiik to sleep! This one is all over!
