Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sam Curtin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Pedro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sam Curtin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Gabriel Pedro!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pedro looks to land a right hand but Curtin moved out of range.
Curtin misses with a straight left.
Curtin walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Pedro checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Curtin shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Curtin is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Curtin controlling the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pedro on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Pedro trying to hold on to Curtin's head to control him but Curtin postures up.
Pedro pushes Curtin off looking to stand but Curtin dives back in and keeps control.
Curtin perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Curtin scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Curtin is looking to advance position but Pedro won't allow it.
Pedro is looking to get back to is feet but Curtin passes into side control.

Curtin has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Pedro pushes Curtin up against the cage in a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Pedro manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Curtin engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pedro wants to stand but Curtin is controlling the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Curtin showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Curtin working some strikes from top position.
Curtin lands a couple of elbows.
Pedro doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Curtin is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Pedro looking to hit a scissor sweep but Curtin is one step ahead there.
Curtin's corner is telling him to maintain position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Curtin gets to his feet. Pedro looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Pedro darts in looking for a takedown but Curtin gets double underhooks and turns Pedro into the cage.
Nice takedown defense from Pedro. No joy for Curtin on that attempt.
Pedro dives in and grabs Curtin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Curtin pushes down on Pedro's head and hops out.
It looked like Curtin was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Curtin fails in his attempt to clinch.
Pedro is looking to clinch but Curtin is avoiding it.
Pedro shoots in for a takedown but Curtin shows good takedown defense.
Sam Curtin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gabriel Pedro.
Pedro is trying hard to land a takedown here. Curtin sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Curtin tries a head kick but it misses.
Curtin throws a wild body kick that Pedro sees coming a mile off.
Curtin fails in his attempt to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sam Curtin dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Pedro looks to clinch
and Curtin counters with a left and a right that stings Pedro.

Curtin moves into the clinch.
Curtin jumps guard but Pedro turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Curtin drags the fight down to the ground.
Pedro wants to pass the guard but Curtin is keeping the position.

Curtin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pedro doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Curtin is tightening it up a little... Pedro has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Pedro reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Pedro taps out! Nice BJJ there by Curtin!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Sam Curtin!
