0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Frank Cri! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cri scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Duncan kicks Cri off and gets back to his feet. Cri looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Duncan pushes Cri up against the cage in a clinch. Duncan turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Duncan landing a few strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Duncan isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Cri stacks Duncan on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Cri! Duncan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Duncan is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Cri is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Duncan is looking to regain half guard here but Cri keeps moving and retains side control. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Duncan clinches up with Cri and pushes him back against the cage. Cri is fighting off a takedown attempt but Duncan is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Cri to the mat. Cri regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Duncan distracts Cri with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Duncan content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Cri is trying to control the position but Duncan postures up. Duncan has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Cri throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Duncan tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cri is in Duncan's guard. Duncan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cri gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Duncan looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Duncan is looking to control Cri's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Duncan avoid being mounted?
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Frank Cri. Well Duncan has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
