Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Neculai Costel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Magomedrasul Khasbulaev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Magomedrasul Khasbulaev!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khasbulaev misses with an attempted mid kick.
Costel seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Costel dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Costel fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Khasbulaev goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Costel uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Khasbulaev.
Khasbulaev wants to clinch.
Khasbulaev misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Costel.
Khasbulaev swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Khasbulaev misses with an uppercut
and Costel counters with a nice double leg into side control. Khasbulaev won't be happy with that.
Costel working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Costel is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Khasbulaev knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Costel staying calm.
Costel's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Costel is working to tighten his grip on Khasbulaev's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Khasbulaev has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Costel is really squeezing tight and eventually Khasbulaev passes out! Costel breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
