The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dias dives in and scores a takedown into Silva's guard.

Silva working for a triangle but Dias defends it easily.

Silva controls Dias momentarily but Dias frees himself.
Our spies down at at Animal House inform us that Silva has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Dias slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dias stands and steps away. Silva gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Dias bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Silva looks to land a combination but Dias avoids it well.

Dias shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense.
Dias takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Oh Dias is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dias closes this distance looking for a takedown but Silva circles away.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Silva! But no joy.

Dias is breathing heavily.
Dias is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Silva moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
